Chameli Ki
Shaadi, which released in
1986, was an entertaining film.
And by no means
would it be incorrect to state that Peena Haraam Hai – the only song
from the film on this blog – was purportedly a song with a message – it urged
people to drink responsibly.
But people paid it
no heed.
It was
(Kisho)rendered by Alka Yagnik, who joined none other than Mr Kumar behind the
microphone.
The track was
penned by Prakash Mehra, but the film was neither produced nor directed by him.
Kalyanji Virji
Shah and Anandji Virji Shah composed it.
