The soundtrack of Sadma
featured a couple of versions of Surmayee Ankhiyon Mein.
The version on
this blog is the longer – and happier – version of the song* – it was four
minutes and 36 seconds long.
It was the shorter
of the two tracks from the film on this blog.
It wouldn’t be
incorrect to state that it was one of K J Yesudas’ best Hindi film songs.
The track, which
was penned by Gulzar, was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
(*Note: The
shorter – and sad – version of the track was just a minute and 18 seconds
long.)
