Hindi film
songs didn’t just take the story of the film forward, but they occasionally
provided the listeners some information too.
For
example, there was a song on the soundtrack of Satte Pe Satta that was
contrary to what we know about India’s sex ratio (which is skewed in favour of
men).
The track
in question was Pariyon Ka Mela Hai (which could be translated to,
“There’s a fair of fairies”).
To put it simply, there are a lot of pretty women
out there.
Gulshan
Bawra penned the R D Burman composition, which Kumar (Kisho)rendered.
