Pyar Karne Wale
Kabhi Darte Nahin was the
shortest track on the soundtrack of Hero – it was five minutes and 55
seconds long.
The track, which
was penned by the one and only Lata Mangeshkar, was joined behind the
microphone by Manhar Udhas.
Anand Bakshi
penned the track, which Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar and Pyarelal Ramprasad
Sharma composed.
Even if the
inspiration was a mere coincidence, it wouldn’t be incorrect to state that the
song itself, and the line that went, “Lambi deewarein chunva ho” in
particular, seemed to be reminiscent of the 1960 epic Mughal-E-Azam.
