This blog contains
posts on four tracks from Hero, which released in 1983 and was Jackie
Shroff’s first film as the leading man.
If these were
arranged in the alphabetical order, Ding Dong would be the first.
It happened to be
the longest song in the film – it was eight minutes and 27 seconds long.
The track was
rendered by Anuradha Paudwal and Manhar Udhas.
It was penned by
Anand Bakshi, and composed by Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar and Pyarelal
Ramprasad Sharma.
Subhash Ghai, the
director of the film, made a brief appearance in the song.
