In a country where
one of the most favoured means of communication in the 21st century
(e-mail) can create a stir, a track that began with the word Chitthi became
very popular, especially with non-resident Indians (NRIs).
The song in
question was Chitthi Aayi Hai.
If the two tracks
from Naam (1986) were arranged in the alphabetical order, it would be
the first.
Pankaj Udhas’
involvement in the track wasn’t restricted to rendering it, but it was
picturised on him too.
Anand Bakshi
penned the track, which Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar and Pyarelal Ramprasad
Sharma composed.
