R D Burman was, is
and always be Mahaan (great).
Not only did he
compose the songs of the aforementioned film, but he also had one contribution
to its soundtrack as a crooner – Yeh Din To Aata Hai.
He was joined
behind the microphone by the Asha Bhosle.
A line of the
song, which was penned by Anjaan, went, “Aage jo hona hai hona hai ho jaaye”.
It could be translated to, “Whatever has to happen in future, will happen. Let
it happen”.
It wouldn’t be
incorrect to state that it was Pancham’s own philosophy.
