While there were a
couple of versions of its title track in the film, this blog contains a post of
just one – the male solo, which was (Kisho)rendered by Mr Kumar, who bagged his
sixth Filmfare Award in the Best Male Playback Singer category in 1983.
The other version
was a female solo, sung by the one and only Lata Mangeshkar.
The track, which
was penned by Gulshan Bawra, was an apt song to dedicate to the man who
composed it – the one and only R D Burman.
