Nazia’s career was certainly Booming

This blog contains posts on a couple of songs from Star (1982), which was produced and written by Biddu Appaiah, who composed its music as well.

If they were arranged in the alphabetical order, Boom Boom – which was undoubtedly its most popular song – would be the first.

In fact, the soundtrack of the film was released as Star/Boom Boom.

It was rendered by Nazia Hassan, who was riding a wave of popularity in India, thanks to her previous collaborations with Biddu – Aap Jaisa Koi from Qurbani (1980) and Disco Deewane (1981).

Indeevar penned the track.
