This became another PopuLAr track

The opening verse of Uthe Sabke Kadam inspired the titles of two films – Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) and Siddharth Anand's Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007).

Interestingly, the Rajesh Roshan composition from Baton Baton Mein itself wasn’t an original song – it was inspired by Polly Wolly Doodle (a popular song that dated back to the 19th century).

(Am)It was rendered by Lata Mangeshkar and Mr Kumar, who were joined behind the microphone by Pearl Padamsee [who played Rosie Pereira (the mother of Tina Munim's character Nancy) in the film].

Amit Khanna penned it.
