The only
contribution of Lata Mangeshkar to the soundtrack of Kudrat was Tune
O Rangeele.
It happened to be the shortest song in the film – it was three minutes and 32 seconds long.
The opening verse of the track, which was penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri, could be translated to, “What magic have you worked, O colourful one? The intoxicated heart keeps repeating, ‘Beloved, beloved’.”
By no means would it be incorrect to state that even the hook of the song went, “O re piya o”.
It was composed by none other than R D Burman.
