While the
soundtrack of Ek Duuje Ke Liye will always be remembered for the songs
rendered by the one and only Lata Mangeshkar, there was one track that stood
out for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, it wasn’t Ms Mangeshkar, but Anuradha Paudwal who joined S P Balasubrahmanyam behind the microphone.
And secondly, it was hummable, as the lyrics – credited to Anand Bakshi – consisted of the titles of various movies.
The song in question was Mere Jeevan Saathi.
It was five minutes and 57 seconds long.
Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar and Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma composed it.
