The title
track of Desh Premee was titled Mere Deshpremiyon, and it was
rendered by none other than Mohammed Rafi.
It was, in
fact, his only contribution to the soundtrack of the film.
There’s no
two ways about the fact that it was a memorable song, but what delighted the
legend's fans more was the fact that the film was dedicated to his memory (as
well as that of Bengali actor Uttam Kumar, who, like Rafi, died a couple of
years before the film’s release).
Anand
Bakshi penned the track, which was composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal.
