Lata sang this (Khayy)amazing solo

More often than not, Khayyam was the go-to man for compositions that appealed to the connoisseur.

And the two tracks from Dard (1981) on this blog were a case in point.

If they were arranged in the alphabetical order, and the descending order of their durations, Na Jaane Kya Hua would be the first – it was five minutes and 32 seconds long.

It was rendered by the one and only Lata Mangeshkar, whose other contribution to the film’s soundtrack was Ahl-E-Dil (which was four minutes and 58 seconds long).

They were penned by Naqsh Lyallpuri.
