There’s no two
ways about the fact that the sad version of the title song of Muqaddar Ka
Sikandar was a standout.
It went, “Zindagi to bewafa hai, ek din thukrayegi. Maut mehbooba hai, apne saath lekar jaayegi” (which could be translated to, “Life is unfaithful. It will reject you. Death is your lover, who will take you along”).
Just a couple of minutes and 39 seconds long, it was Mohammed Rafi’s only contribution to the soundtrack of the film.
Anjaan penned the song, which was composed by Kalyanji Virji Shah and Anandji Virji Shah.
