This is a (belated)
tribute to legendary filmmaker J Om Prakash, who was born on January 24, 1926,
and died at the age of 93 on August 7, 2019.
He produced and directed Aasha (1980).
Lata Mangeshkar rendered Sheesha Ho Ya Dil Ho, the only track from the film on this blog.
The song, which was fourth on the Binaca Geetmala annual list for 1980, earned Anand Bakshi a nomination in the Best Lyricist category at the Filmfare Awards the following year.
Laxmikant-Pyarelal were nominated in the Best Music Director category at the same ceremony.
