By no means would
it be incorrect to state that Naam Gum Jayega was the most popular song
on the soundtrack of Kinara.
Gulzar penned the
song, whose first two lines could be translated to, “My name could be lost, and
my face may change”.
This track, which
was beautiful, was penned by Lata Mangeshkar and Bhupinder Singh.
Both of them could
rightfully claim the hook of the song, which went, “Meri awaaz hi pehchan
hai”. That line could be translated to, “My voice itself is my identity”.
It was composed by
R D Burman.
