Anwar sang this unforgettable number

Humse Ka Bhool Hui – the only song from Janta Hawaldar (1979) on this blog – could be translated to, “What mistake have I made, that I have been punished for?”

But bhool has another meaning – forget.

That is precisely what Hindi film music buffs haven’t been able to do.

However, the man who rendered the track – Anwar Hussain (professionally known by his first name) – admitted that he did pay the price for demanding a higher fee, resulting in the loss of plum assignments to the likes of Shabbir Kumar.

Majrooh Sultanpuri penned the Rajesh Roshan composition.
