The ‘vow’ factor wasn’t LacKing

Of the three songs from Tere Mere Sapne (1971) on this blog, a couple were duets.

And they were rendered by the same pair – Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar.

If they were to be arranged in the alphabetical order, Hey Maine Kasam Li would be the first.

There’s no two ways about the fact that the second verse – which began with a line that went, “Saans teri madir madir jaise rajnigandha” – was the highlight of the track, which was penned by Gopaldas Saxena ‘Neeraj’.

It was composed by the one and only Sachin Dev Burman.
