Gaadi Bula Rahi
Hai, the only song from Dost
(1974) on this blog, was a track (pun intended) that extolled the virtues of a
train.
The highlight of the Laxmikant-Pyarelal composition, which was penned by Anand Bakshi, was the personification of the train, as evidenced by the line, “Sar pe hai bojh, seene mein aag, lab pe dhuan hai jaano, phir bhi yeh gaa rahi hai, naghme suna rahi hai” (which means, “There’s a burden on its head, fire in its chest, and smoke on its lips. But it is still singing”.)
Kumar (Kisho)rendered it.
