Kumar’s (Kisho)rendition was undoubtedly mind-blowing

O Hansini – the only song from Zehreela Insaan (1974) on this blog – was a song that made a couple of reference to swans, but by no means was it anybody’s swan song.

It was the longest track in the film – it was five minutes and 23 seconds long.

Shot at the Chitradurga Fort in Chitradurga, Karnataka, the song – which was (Kisho)rendered by the one and only Mr Kumar – continues to be very popular.

Majrooh Sultanpuri penned the R D Burman composition, whose opening was inspired by the theme song of the James Bond film Goldfinger.
