There’s no two
ways about the fact that Asha Bhosle* and Kishore Kumar’s second contribution
to the soundtrack of Deewaar – Maine Tujhe Maanga – was fairly
popular too.
The song, which was penned by Sahir Ludhianvi, was composed by R D Burman.
Incidentally, Pancham dabbled in lyrics for this film as well. Of course, his words weren’t exactly Sahiresque, but the English song I Am Falling in Love with a Stranger (rendered by Ursula Vaz) was credited to him.
(*Note: Bhosle had another contribution to the soundtrack of the film – a solo titled Koi Mar Jaaye.)
