The soundtrack of Faraar
(1975) contained three versions of Main Pyaasa Tum Saawan – the female
version (rendered by Lata Mangeshkar), the male version [(Kisho)rendered by Mr
Kumar] and the duet (sung by both).
However, this blog contains a post on just one – the duet.
It was one of the three tracks for which Kumar was nominated in the Best Male Playback Singer category at the Filmfare Awards in 1976.
The hook of the underrated Kalyanji-Anandji composition – penned by Rajinder Krishan – was, “Ho na? Hoon toh” (which could be translated to, “Aren’t you? Yes, I am”).
