Gulshan
Bawra penned the track, which was composed by Kalyanji Virji Shah and Anandji
Virji Shah.
Of course,
the song, from Rafoo Chakkar, didn’t have a mention of a lady named
Kanchan, but it was a lady named Kanchan who milaoed awaaz with
the Sing(h)er.
Today
(July 26) is the death anniversary of the latter, whose other contributions to
the film’s soundtrack included a solo and a duet each with Aziz Nazan and Usha
Mangeshkar. I would like to dedicate it to her.
