Baap, wasn’t just a unique song, but it was a eunuch song as well.
It actually featured the voices of hijras sharing singing credits with the pair of legends who rendered it – Mohammed Rafi and Mehmood Ali*.
Interestingly, the track, which was penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri and composed by Rajesh Roshan, topped the Binaca Geetmala annual list for 1974.
(*Note: Mehmood also rendered another track in the film. It was titled Main Hoon Ghoda, Yeh Hai Gaadi. He joined the one and only Kishore Kumar behind the microphone.)
