In my post on Chalte
Chalte, I mentioned that it was the same duration as another track in the
film – i.e., both the songs were five minutes and 53 seconds long.
The song in question was Tharhe Rahiyo, wherein the first is pronounced Thaade. It could loosely be translated to, “Keep waiting, O flirtatious lover”.
The song, which was penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri, was composed by Ghulam Mohammed.
It was rendered by the one and only Lata Mangeshkar, whose other contribution to the film was the Title Music – Alaap (which was composed by Naushad Ali).
