Yesterday
was the 44th death anniversary of Madan Mohan Kohli, who died on
July 14, 1975.
And, although this is a belated dedication to him, here’s a post on one of his compositions – Tum Jo Mil Gaye Ho, the only song from Hanste Zakhm (1973) on this blog.
It was rendered by the one and only Lata Mangeshkar, who was joined behind the microphone by Mohammed Rafi.
Kaifi Azmi, who penned it, must’ve been referring to the latter when he penned the line that went, “Tum kya jaano tum kya ho, ek sureela nagma ho”.
