If the three tracks from Chor Machaye Shor (1974) on this blog were arranged in the alphabetical order, as well as in the descending order of their durations, Ek Daal Pe Tota Bole would be the first – it was five minutes and a dozen seconds long.

It was the only contribution of Lata Mangeshkar to the soundtrack of the film.

She was joined behind the microphone by Mohammed Rafi. It was the longer of his two duets in the film.

The track, which was penned by Rajkavi Inderjeet Singh Tulsi, was composed by Ravindra Jain.
