The LyRicist was truly multifaceted

Zanjeer, which released in 1973, was Amitabh Bachchan’s breakthrough film.

If the three tracks from the film on this blog were arranged in the alphabetical order, Deewane Hain Deewane Ko would be the first.

The only duet in the film, it was rendered by Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi.

Four minutes and 35 seconds long, it was composed by Kalyanji Virji Shah and Anandji Virji Shah.

The involvement of Gulshan Bawra in the track wasn’t restricted to penning it, but it was picturised on him as well. He played a street singer in the sequence.
