The
involvement of R D Burman in O Meri Jaan Maine Kaha wasn’t restricted to
composing it, but he sang it as well.
I have always believed that as a composer, Pancham was a genius, but there’s no two ways about the fact that his renditions were an acquired taste – one could either love them, or hate them, but they could not be (and definitely were not) ignored.
This track from The Train rocked purely because he was joined behind the microphone by the one and only Asha Bhosle.
It was penned by Anand Bakshi.
