Despite Kishore
Kumar’s versatility, which was the reason he was the numero uno crooner between
the late 1960s and 1987, he was seldom the music directors’ first choice when
it came to singing qawwalis.
But he did render one in Anokhi Ada (1973). And what’s more, it was a solo.
The track in question was Haal Kya Hai Dilon Ka.
It was one of his two contributions to the film’s soundtrack, the other being Sundari Aye Haye Sundari (which happened to be a solo too).
Majrooh Sultanpuri penned the song, which was composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal.
