Regardless of the genre,
the listeners could bank on Lata Mangeshkar to render an awesome track. And she
did precisely that.
Is it any wonder
then that her contributions to the soundtrack of Abhimaan, included
three solos (apart from three duets, each of which was with a different singer)?
The shortest of
those was Nadiya Kinare – it was four minutes and five seconds long.
The track, whose
opening line could be translated to, “My bangles caused havoc on the banks of
the river”, was penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri.
It was composed by
S D Burman.
