Therefore, it wouldn’t be incorrect to state that while the track in question (Maar Diya Jaaye) was about a choice, it was Lata Mangeshkar who lent it her voice.
The listeners, of course, had to choose between sun liya jaaye (listening to the song) and skip kiya jaaye (skipping it). And everyone knows what they did.
