If the five songs
from Kati Patang (1971) on this blog were to be arranged in the
alphabetical order, Aaj Na Chhodenge Bas Humjoli would be the first.
Incidentally, it was the longest of the five tracks – it was four minutes and 55 seconds long.
A festive occasion in a Hindi film is a reason for a song (do we need one actually?)
And it is invariably a happy song.
But this Burman composition, which Anand Bakshi penned, was different (ReaD: underrated), because Kumar (Kisho)rendered the happy portion, and Lata Mangeshkar rendered the sad portion.
