FranKLy, its popularity was surprising

Daag: A Poem of Love (1973) marked Yash Chopra’s debut as producer, and laid the foundation of Yash Raj Films (YRF), one of the Hindi film industry’s most sought-after banners now.

This blog contains posts on three tracks from the film. If they were arranged in the alphabetical order, Ab Chahe Maa Roothe Ya Baba – which was five minutes and 36 seconds long – would be the first.

Sahir Ludhianvi penned the Laxmikant-Pyarelal composition, which Lata Mangeshkar and Kumar (Kisho)rendered.

Here’s a surprising piece of trivia – it was seventh on Binaca Geetmala’s annual list for 1973.
