The track – whose opening verse could be translated to, “I sing a song. I hum. I had promised to laugh a while ago, therefore I am always smiling” – was three minutes and 34 seconds long.
It was the only contribution of Dev Kohli, who penned it, and the one and only Kumar, who (Kisho)rendered it, to the film’s soundtrack.
The track – which stood 18th on Binaca Geetmala's annual list in 1972 – was composed by Shankarsingh Raghuvanshi and Jaikishan Dayabhai Panchal.
