The title track of
Raja Rani was titled Main Ek Chor Tu Meri Rani.
It went on to
become quite popular, and that was attributable to the quartet who collaborated
on it.
Anand Bakshi
penned the R D Burman composition.
It was (Kisho)rendered
by Lata Mangeshkar and Mr Kumar.
Interestingly, it
was the latter’s only contribution to the soundtrack of the film. That was ironic,
because the songs of Kumar played as vital a role in Rajesh Khanna’s
superstardom as Bakshi’s lyrics and Pancham’s compositions.
Mangeshkar sang three
solos and another duet in the film.
