The fourth track
from Apna Desh was appropriately titled Sun Champa Sun Tara.
However, it was not just Champa and Tara who listened to, and liked, the track. It is safe to assume every other listener did so too.
It was penned by Anand Bakshi, who summed up their verdict in the line that went, “Arre bada maza aaye haaye suno meri baat” [which could be translated to, “It is great fun. (Sigh) Listen to me”.]
The Rahul Dev Burman composition was rendered by Lata Mangeshkar, who was joined behind the microphone by Kishore Kumar.
