There’s no two
ways about the fact that the soundtrack of Bobby was so fantastic that
it was very difficult to identify a particular track as its ‘crow’ning glory.
However, it would
be a ‘lie’ if I said that Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate was not the catchiest
of them all.
It was rendered by
Lata Mangeshkar and Shailendra Singh.
The Laxmikant-Pyarelal
composition was penned by Vitthalbhai Patel, who was nominated in the Best
Lyricist category at the Filmfare Awards in 1974.
It inspired the
title of director Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s last film, which released in 1998.
