There couldn’t be
a more apt song to being a new day than Bhor Aayi Gaya Andhiyara (which
could be translated to, “The first light of the day is here. The darkness has
passed”.)
The only song from Bawarchi (1972) on this blog, it was nine minutes and 29 seconds long.
Kaifi Azmi penned the track, which Madan Mohan composed.
It was rendered by Harindranath Chattopadhyay, Kishore Kumar, Lakshmi Shankar, Manna Dey and Nirmala Devi*.
[*Note: Nirmala Devi is the mother of Govinda, who starred in Hero No. 1 (1997), which was inspired by Bawarchi.]
